Friday 24 February 2017 is a great day of celebration at Ilisimatusarfik and our two institutes: Institute of Social Science, Economics & Journalism and Institute of Culture, Language & History, where we graduate 45 new bachelor students and 8 new master students.
Compared to last year, Ilisimatusarfik graduates 14 more bachelor students and 3 more master students, says head of institute Gitte Adler Reimer.
This year, the Department of Culture & Social History has a record number of graduates: 11 bachelor students. Next in line comes the Department of Social Sciences, Economics & Business with 10 bachelor graduates. Other departments graduates bachelors as follows:

Regarding new master graduates, the Department of Social Sciences, Economics & Business tops with 6. One of the master graduates has completed the West Nordic Master Program, which is offered in collaboration with four other West Nordic universities.
Two other master graduates are from the Department of Culture & Social History.
The morning programme will feature speeches, award ceremonies and a reception - accompanied by songs and music segments.
The graduates' bachelor projects and master theses deal with socially relevant and interesting topics. The summaries can be read below (in Greenlandic and Danish).
Out of a total of 45 new bachelor graduates and 8 master graduates, two graduates will be awarded for their efforts and highest grade point average. True to tradition, again this year KNI gives the price for a bachelor graduate, and Greenland Business gives money to the master graduate with the highest grade point average.
