Sara Fusco is a candidate in the LLM programme in Polar Law at the University of Akureyri. She is currently on exchange through the West Nordic Programme at Ilisimatusarfik. In her current research project on the legal regulation of mining activities in Greenland, she will compare different projects to evaluate their sustainability in terms of human, environmental and economic security.
Sara graduated with a master thesis in Comparative Law in 2017 from the University of Helsinki where she specialized in environmental law, gender equality law, human rights and religion, and social legal thinking. Originally from Italy, she is a qualified lawyer in Italy, specializing in civil law and family law.
