Researching in patients' / citizens' everyday lives with illness and disabilities, user perspectives and professional perspectives on practice in welfare institutions, user involvement and participation, interdisciplinary collaboration, health promotion and rehabilitation, aging and quality of life.

- Methodologies: Ethnographically inspired fieldwork, qualitative interviews, focus group interviews, participant observations, document analysis.
- Current research: "Samarbejde om et godt liv som gammel på alderdomshjem" ("Collaboration on a good life as an old person in a retirement home"). A collaboration between Kommuneqarfik Sermersooq, the Administration for Welfare and the Labor Market, the Area for the Elderly, and the Institute of Nursing and Health Science at Ilisimatusarfik.
