As of 1 August 2021, Inge Høst Seiding is the new head of the Institute of Culture, Language & History.

The Institute of Culture, Language & History includes the programmes Language, Literature & Media; Culture & Social History; Theology and Translation & Interpreting.

Inge Høst Seiding holds a master’s degree in Culture & Social History and, after obtaining her PhD, also at Ilisimatusarfik in 2013, has been, among other things, head of archives at Greenland National Museum & Archives from 2016 - 2020, as well as special consultant at the health authorities in Greenland.

Inge Høst Seiding has good management experience, and it was this, among other things, as well as her interest in educational planning and experience in interdisciplinary research and dissemination, that were some of the main reasons why she was chosen for the position.

With her background and experience in the field, Inge Høst Seiding will bring her knowledge and skills into play together with our researchers and lecturers at the institute - and thereby contribute to Ilisimatusarfik's overall research and education development for the benefit of Greenlandic society.
