The Unfinished Future - Potentials and Challenges of Action Research
Kevin Perry from Ilisimatusarfik has, together with Annette Bilfeldt, Michael Søgaard Jørgensen and John Andersen, edited the anthology "The Unfinished Future - Potentials and Challenges of Action Research".
The book presents new action research, and is a contribution to discussion of action research's theory, methods, approaches, experiences, challenges and results.
The anthology provides insight into various action research traditions such as participatory action research (PAR), critical participatory action research (CPAR), critical-utopian action research (CUAR) and action research inspired by pragmatism.
The book also analyses experiences with action research in different fields of practice such as public planning, nature management, pedagogy, care and university education - as well as the use of future-workshops, geographic information systems (GIS) and theater workshops as methods and tools.
The authors are action researchers from Denmark, the Faroe Islands, Greenland, Latin America, Norway, Sweden and the United States.
The book targets other action researchers and researchers in other research traditions.
