What does the super powers' competition and growing military presence in the Arctic mean for Greenland and the Danish Realm?
On the occasion of the preparations for the forthcoming defence compromise, we invite you to a public meeting on Arctic security policy.
The public meeting is arranged by Nasiffik - Centre for Foreign & Security Policy at Ilisimatusarfik - and Center for Arctic Security Studies at the Royal Danish Defence College in cooperation with the Danish Government's Security Policy Analysis Group, where e.g., Greenland's Department of Foreign Affairs participates.
At the public meeting you can meet researchers from Ilisimatusarfik and the Royal Danish Defence College. They will do short presentations about the new positioning of the super powers in the Arctic and its implications for Greenland and its people.
After introductory presentations, the floor will be open for debate and questions.
The event is open to all - students, citizens and the press.
Registration is not necessary. The event will be in Danish, with interpretation into Greenlandic. Coffee and cake will be served.
