An investigative natural science didactics in a language pedagogical and language didactic perspective
Through an action research approach, the aim is to generate a locally anchored inquiry-based natural science education with a specific focus on developing pupils' inquiry competence and their natural science language competence.
Empirical construction is done through video documentation of teaching, and the participating teachers are involved in an interpretation phase. The intention is thus to generate didactic models that can help strengthen both teachers' specific teaching reflection in natural science and general teaching reflection in order to contribute to creating conditions for improving quality in schools.
In addition, there is an objective to strengthen pupils' motivation for and interest in the natural science subjects that are considered important in Greenlandic society.
