Greenland's role in global clean energy supply
Nasiffik - centre for foreign & security policy invites you to a public lecture with MA student Zsanett Gréta Papp titled: "Greenland's role in global clean energy supply: a lecture on critical materials, hydropower, and geopolitics".
Join us for an exploration of Greenland's pivotal role in the global supply of critical materials for clean energy technologies, and their contributions to the journey towards green energy security.
The public lecture delves into two critical aspects of the untapped potential of Greenland: its critical materials, its hydropower capacity, and its green hydrogen production. We will explore how these factors contribute to the global clean energy supply chain and offer insights into Greenland's strategic importance amid evolving geopolitics and energy transition.
The presentation stems from ongoing research focused on a current master's thesis case study, exploring Greenland's role in pursuing green energy security and its geoeconomic impact on the global clean energy supply chain.
- When: 25 October, at 16.00 - 17.00
- Where: auditorium at Ilisimatusarfik
The public lecture is in English - and coffee, tea and cake will be served.
