Aage Rydstrøm-Poulsen is Master of Theology from the University of Aarhus in 1978, hereafter minister in Copenhagen, research fellow at University of Copenhagen 1982-85 (studies at the Vatican Library), and PhD in Theology from the University of Copenhagen in 1993. Visiting Scholar at Western Michigan University in 1993 and 1995-98. Dr.Theol. in 2002 from the University of Copenhagen on basis of the thesis The Gracious God – Gratia in Augustine and the Twelfth Century, Akademisk Forlag, Copenhagen 2002. Since 2004 head of the education in theology at Ilisimatusarfik/The University of Greenland, since 2018 chair of the Institute of Culture, Language, and History. Was president in 2008 with the implementation of the new law of the university and the extension of the university to the present new Ilisimatusarfik. Is engaged in research in the theological development from the early Middle Ages until the twelfth century with special regard to the development of the theological anthropology. Apart from the thesis, has written scientific articles in national and international journals and contributed to international books. Is through 25 years contributor to the world’s biggest congress on medieval studies in the US. Co-editor of the book Tro og Samfund i 300-året for Hans Egedes ankomst til Grønland (Aarhus Universitetsforlag 2021). Published 2021 Richard of Saint-Victor: On the Trinity, Introduction and Translation, Brepols Publishers, Belgium.
