Opening of new research centre

A brand new centre for Children-, Youth- & Family Research opens at Ilisimatusarfik (CYFRI).

The official opening of CYFRI is 25 November 2015 from 15.00 - 19.30 in the auditorium at Ilimmarfik campus. 

During the opening, the logo, website and Facebook page of the centre are revealed - and some of the centre's researchers will do presentations.

The official opening will end with a small celebration.

Programme for the opening:

• Kl. 15.00-15.10: Velkommen og introduktion v/ lektor, centerleder, Jette Rygaard
• Kl. 15.10-15.20: CYFRI på Ilisimatusarfik v/ rektor, Tine Pars, ph.d.
• Kl. 15.20-16.20: Folkesundhed blandt skolebørn. Resultater fra HBSC undersøgelsen (Health Behaviour in School-aged Children) v/ dr. med., Birgit Nicklasen & MPH, Bodil Karlshøj
• Kl. 16.20-16.45: Kaffe/The - pause
• Kl. 16.45-17.00: Familierelationer i småsamfund – resultater fra PDG forskningen: Population Dynamics in Greenland v/ lektor, ph.d. institutleder, Gitte Trondheim 
• Kl. 17.00-17.10: Elever og lærere og Atuarfitsialak v/ adjunkt, ph.d. stud. Anders Øgaard

• Kl. 18.15-19.30: Reception udenfor auditoriet

CYFRI is a research network consisting of Ilisimatusarfik researchers - in addition to researchers from other institutions in Nuuk.

Together, we will work to strengthen the research within the areas of children, youth and families - both locally and internationally.
