Visit at University of Akureyri

In the days just before the Arctic Circle Assembly, we visited University of Akureyri in Iceland.

University of Akureyri is well advanced in their work with distance learning - and more than half of their students participate in distance learning in one way or another.

There is no doubt that distance learning is to be part of our future work at Ilisimatusarfik - and an increased focus on distance learning will benefit students as they do not need to come to Ilisimatusarfik in Nuuk to get an education.

In this connection, we are pleased that we are going to work closely with University of Akureyri - so that we can benefit from their good experiences.
