On 9 February, researcher and head of institute Annemette Nyborg Lauritsen gave a presentation at the Greenland Committee's hearing on the legal system's future in Greenland.
Annemette said, among other things, "it is worth examining whether the current legislation is being fully utilised, rather than following the developments that are taking place in Denmark. The reform of the judiciary, with a new Criminal Code and Code of Judicial Procedure, launched in 2010, has now been in place for more than 10 years. Instead of simply tightening, it would be logical to carry out a thorough evaluation of the first 10 years, and thereby see whether there are unused opportunities that could usefully be put to use."
You can watch or re-watch the full hearing on the Danish Parliament's TV channel.
