On 30 September, Ilisimatusarfik held its traditional annual celebration.
At this year's annual celebration, we commemorated the day with speeches and songs - and we awarded both PhD degrees and the award of the year.
Rector of Ilisimatusarfik Gitte Adler Reimer hosted the event - and this year's keynote speaker was professor Morten Meldgaard.
Awarding PhD degrees
Ilisimatusarfik awarded PhD degrees to the following:
- Birgitte Hamann Laustsen for the PhD project "Arbejdsbetingede lidelser og arbejdsulykker indenfor fiskeri og fiskeindustri i Grønland" ("Work-related disorders and work accidents in the fisheries and fishing industry in Greenland") (Institute of Health & Nature, Ilisimatusarfik and Aalborg University) (Birgitte unfortunately could not be present at the award ceremony)
