Magna Charta Universitatum is a document signed in Bologna, Italy, that explicitly defines key principles underpinning the existence of universities - such as academic freedom and institutional autonomy with a values-based approach to work.
In the days leading up to the ceremony, the Magna Charta Observatory hosted a conference themed "Universities engaging with society in turbulent times", which was attended by rector Gitte Adler Reimer and assistant professor Qivioq Løvstrøm.
