New podcast with professor Peter Berliner
The podcast outlines some of the tensions at play in Narsaq and Greenland more generally
In connection with the large cross-Arctic and Nordic networks and funds that Peter Berliner is involved in on behalf of Ilisimatusarfik - and based on the collaboration with Narsaq International Research Station (NIRS) - Peter Berliner was invited to participate in a podcast together with Lise Autogena, head of NIRS and filmmaker Inuk Jørgensen.
The podcast outlines some of the tensions at play in Narsaq and Greenland more generally. Here, the climate crisis is dramatically disrupting people's way of life while opening up opportunities for the exploitation of globally valued natural resources. In fact, the community of Narsaq itself is at the center of a fierce dispute over a proposed mine.
The podcast is created by Katie Revell for NAARCA - and you can listen to it here.
