Gitte Adler Reimer awarded the cross of the order of chivalry

4 July 2024 was an unforgettable day for our rector Gitte Adler Reimer - here she was awarded the cross of the order of chivalry by H.M. King Frederik X.

This honorable award is in recognition of Gitte Adler Reimer's outstanding efforts and tireless work to promote education and research in the Arctic.

Since Gitte Adler Reimer was appointed rector in 2017, she has been a central figure in Ilisimatusarfik's development - where Ilisimatusarfik's position both in Greenland and internationally has been significantly strengthened.

Gitte Adler Reimer has dedicated herself to improving the quality of education, expanding research activities and creating stronger ties between Ilisimatusarfik and the Greenlandic and international community.
