Nordlys network celebrates anniversary

In 2025, the Nordlys network marks its 30th anniversary - and Ilisimatusarfik was of course there to celebrate the anniversary in style at this year's annual meeting, which this year took place at University of Copenhagen in Denmark.

The network is a well-established collaboration between universities in the Nordic countries - including Greenland, the Faroe Islands and Iceland. The aim is to strengthen students' opportunities to study in the Nordic countries through a wide range of cooperation agreements.

The main theme of this year's meeting was how best to engage and inform students about Nordic study mobility opportunities.

One of the highlights was a panel debate where students from across the Nordic region shared personal experiences of student mobility, how they became aware of the opportunities - and what particularly motivated them to travel abroad.

In addition, the continued digitization of student administration was highlighted. Participants exchanged experiences on both historical developments and current practices - especially in relation to the handling of both own students and international guest students.
