Annemette Hejlsted appointed professor

Ilisimatusarfik is delighted to welcome another professor to its ranks - Annemette Hejlsted.

The Academic Council has just awarded her the title of professor following an external academic assessment that highlights her high academic standing.

Annemette has been part of Ilisimatusarfik since 2020, where she has quickly made her mark as a dedicated lecturer and a strong voice in research. Her teaching has inspired many students in literature and literary studies, and her research has resulted in a long list of publications with a special focus on Greenlandic and Arctic literature.

With her appointment as professor, her great efforts are both recognized and made visible. It is also a milestone for Ilisimatusarfik, which once again strengthens its academic environment.

"It is a great pleasure to see Annemette's professional commitment and contributions honored in this way - and we are very much looking forward to her inaugural lecture," pro-rector Mari Kleist says.
