Associate professor Erik Svendsen will explore literature that has combined the foreign with the familiar.
Literature that has reflected the prevailing values or that has contradicted them.
Literature that, for example, has played an important role in building the idea of the welfare society and challenged the notion that everything would be much better.
The examples are primarily taken from (southern) Danish literature, and the focus will be on developments in Denmark after the 1870s.
Initially, however, Erik Svendsen will include recent literature from or about Greenland.
