Workshop on research ethics guidelines in Greenland
Invitation to a workshop on research ethics and the development of research ethics guidelines in Greenland.
”The recently released national research strategy for Greenland calls for the development of ethical guidelines that will anchor research in Greenland (including increased use of indigenous and local knowledge), support sustainable social development, ensure that research results are accessible to all, and enhance international collaborations.
What should such ethical guidelines look like and what are specific strategies for building the kinds of equitable and beneficial collaborations that might be necessary for advancing these goals?
This two-part workshop will examine these issues.”
The workshop will run over two days:
- Friday 27 October at 9.00 - 12.00
- Monday 30 October at 13.00 - 16.00
It will be possible to participate physically at campus Ilimmarfik or online via Microsoft Teams.
Anyone who does research in and about Greenland - or has an interest in research in Greenland - is welcome.
Register at [email protected] no later than Monday 23 October at 12.00 (please indicate whether you are attending online or in person).
