The Danish Meteorological Institute has a weather service in Nuuk, where meteorologists monitor the weather in Greenland 24/7.

Every day, the meteorologists use their knowledge and analysis of the weather to provide forecasts for air traffic in Greenland, to advise the Arctic Command in their operations around Greenland and to warn the Greenlandic community of severe weather such as storms, hurricanes and piteraq.
