Lene is a researcher with approx. 20 years of experience in social work research and education. Her main areas of research are the connected issues of child welfare, child protection and child abuse. A particular interest is how the welfare system engages and helps children in need of public intervention.

She is dean of social sciences at VIA University College in Denmark and is committed to ensuring an close interaction between the theories and methods of academia with the empirical needs and circumstances of the practice field that we educate for.
