On 01 January 2022, Associate Professor and PhD Annemette Nyborg Lauritsen will take up the position as new Head of the Institute of Society, Economics & Journalism at Ilisimatusarfik.
The Institute of Society, Economics & Journalism also includes the programmes Journalism, Social Work, Social Sciences, Business Economics, and Law.
Annemette received her PhD in 2012 in Arctic Culture, Language & Society from Ilisimatusarfik - and she has since been working and researching with broad empirical reference in Greenlandic and Arctic society.
Annemette's interest in educational planning, interdisciplinary research and disseminating research so that it is accessible to the Greenlandic society are some of the main reasons why she was chosen for the position.
We are very much looking forward to Annemette bringing her knowledge and skills to the collaboration with researchers and lecturers at the Institute of Society, Economics & Journalism, and the whole of Ilisimatusarfik, thus contributing with new angles and strategies to Ilisimatusarfik's social research - for the benefit of all.
