Her Majesty Queen Margrethe

At an event at Ilisimatusarfik on 9 October, Her Majesty Queen Margrethe took part in a marking of the 300th anniversary of the introduction of Christianity in Greenland.

At the event, The Queen was presented with the Hans Egede anthology "Tro og samfund i Grønland i 300-året for Hans Egedes ankomst" ("Faith and Society in Greenland in the 300th Anniversary of Hans Egede's Arrival").

The anthology is published by Aarhus University Press with support from Queen Margrethe's and Prince Henrik's Foundation, the Greenland Self-Government and Ilisimatusarfik's Publication Fund.

On the same occasion, Aage Rydstrøm-Poulsen was awarded the cross of the order of chivalry.
