Agreement between Danish Ministry of Defense and Ilisimatusarfik on two new PhD fellows for Nasiffik

Acting Minister of Defense, Troels Lund Poulsen, and Rector of Ilisimatusarfik, Gitte Adler Reimer, today signed a framework agreement on funding two PhD fellows for Nasiffik - Centre for Foreign & Security Policy.

The agreement focuses on the military, defense and security policy area, and includes strategic research on topics of interest and importance to Nasiffik and the Danish Ministry of Defense's areas of interest.

The agreement also ensures a strengthening of security policy awareness in Greenland, to the benefit of all parties, and generates new perspectives and insights regarding Greenlandic foreign and security policy dynamics.

Specifically, the first PhD will start in August 2023 and the next in 2024.
