Enrollment analysis 2024 coming soon

Ilisimatusarfik is currently completing an analysis of our new students who started their first semester in September 2024.

The analysis is part of our quality assurance work - and the analysis provides an exciting insight into, among other things, the students' background.

Here are some of the main findings from the analysis:

• In the period from 2011 to 2024, Ilisimatusarfik has experienced an overall increase in enrollment.
• In 2024, Ilisimatusarfik primarily enrolled female students - 76 percent (higher than the proportion of women who have graduated from a "GUX education" in Greenland in recent years).
• The average age of those enrolled is almost 30 years.
• A large proportion of our new students are likely to have acquired knowledge and experience outside the education system - compared to students in Western countries.
• A significant proportion of the new students have children at the time of enrollment - 38 percent on the bachelor's program and 56 percent on the master's program.
