Nadja Albertsen is a Medical Doctor (University of Southern Denmark 2011) and Health Anthropologist (Aarhus University 2021). She is currently working on a PhD-project entitled "Cardiac Arrhythmias in Greenland" in a collaboration between Ilisimatusarfik - University of Greenland, Aalborg University Hospital and Aalborg University.
Nadja lived and worked in Greenland from 2013 to 2016. Her work was mainly clinical, but Nadja also authored/co-authored publications on syphilis, vaccinations and osteoporosis. She has since collaborated on research about care home residents in Greenland and co-supervised two master-theses on lactose-intolerance and osteoporosis.
Additionally, Nadja has research experience from Antarctica, where she spent 13 months from 2018 to 2019 as a Research Medic for the European Space Agency, and she is planning to return to Antarctica skiing to the South Pole as part of the Inspire22 research expedition.
