The plans for the campus expansion are ready

The work on Uppik - the expansion of campus Ilimmarfik - is now taking an important step forward.

The building programmes for the upcoming projects have been finalised and set the direction for how Ilisimatusarfik’s physical environment can be developed in the coming years.

The expansion consists of several key components.

Qassi will be a new building designed to accommodate future activities and needs. Inua is also a new building that will expand the existing facilities, while Qulleq refers to the current buildings, which are to be refurbished and integrated into the overall new campus project.

The building programmes form the backbone of the project.

They bring together wishes, needs and requirements and serve as the management tool that guides the entire process - from the initial sketches to the finished building.

At the same time, they form the basis for the work ahead as consultants and partners now embark on the next phases.

In other words, the foundations have been laid - not just on paper, but for the development of an even stronger Ilisimatusarfik in the future.
