Javier Arnaut awarded prestigious Fulbright Scholar-in-Residence Fellowship

Javier Arnaut has been awarded the prestigious Fulbright Scholar-in-Residence Fellowship (2026-2027) through Fulbright Denmark.

He will spend late 2026 and early Spring 2027 at Florida Atlantic University in Boca Raton, Florida, where he will share insights from his research and experiences in Greenland.

His residency will focus on fostering dialogue and exploring the lessons that the United States can learn from Greenland, and vice versa.

He will contribute perspectives from his academic work in Greenland, particularly in the fields of Arctic economics, sustainability, and governance.

As a Fulbright Scholar-in-Residence, he will teach a course in business and macroeconomics. His approach explores the intersection of environmental change, economic development, and public policy in Arctic regions, offering insights into the opportunities and challenges associated with sustainable territorial development.

As a Mexican scholar living and working in Greenland, he is uniquely positioned to bridge perspectives from the Global South and the Arctic North, bringing into conversation regions that are rarely considered together.

By connecting experiences across these diverse contexts, he will encourage new ways of thinking about the relationship between climate change, business strategy, and circular economy, showing that innovative approaches can emerge from unexpected places and travel across regions.
